MIHS Symphonic Band Earns Straight Superior Ratings at District 10 MPA

The Merritt Island High School Symphonic Band earned Straight Superior ratings at the 2026 Florida Bandmasters Association District 10 Music Performance Assessment (MPA), receiving the highest possible ratings from every adjudicator.

Under the direction of Kevin Bennett, the ensemble showcased exceptional musical achievement through disciplined preparation, expressive performance, and outstanding ensemble musicianship. This remarkable accomplishment reflects the hard work and dedication of our students and continues the tradition of excellence that defines the Merritt Island High School Band Program.
