Meet Our Band Directors

The Merritt Island 7–12 Band Program is led by a dedicated team of educators committed to inspiring excellence in music, leadership, and character. Working together, Kevin Bennett, Director of Bands (Grades 9–12), and Shane O'Leary, Director of Bands (Grades 7–8), provide students with a seamless musical experience from middle school through high school. Their shared vision fosters a supportive environment where students develop their musical talents, build lifelong friendships, and create memorable performance experiences through concert band, jazz band, marching band, color guard, and other ensemble opportunities.
