About the Band Booster Organization

The Merritt Island High School Band Booster Organization (BBO) is a nonprofit, volunteer-led organization dedicated to supporting the students, directors, and music programs of the Merritt Island High School Marching Mustangs and the Jefferson Middle School Band Program.

Working in partnership with our directors, the BBO provides the resources that help our students succeed both on and off the field. Through fundraising, volunteer efforts, sponsorships, and community partnerships, we help fund instruments, uniforms, equipment, transportation, music, guest clinicians, scholarships, competitions, and educational opportunities that enrich the band experience.

Our organization is made up of parents, alumni, family members, and community supporters who share a common goal: providing every student with the opportunity to learn, grow, and perform at their highest potential. From organizing events and coordinating volunteers to supporting travel and fundraising efforts, our members work behind the scenes to ensure our students have the tools they need to succeed.

More than just a support organization, the BBO is a partnership between families, educators, and the community. Together, we help create an environment where students develop confidence, leadership, discipline, and lifelong friendships through music.
