MIHS Jazz Band

The Merritt Island High School Jazz Band is a dynamic ensemble that gives students the opportunity to explore a wide variety of jazz styles while developing advanced musical skills and creativity. Open to dedicated student musicians, the ensemble performs classic swing, Latin, funk, blues, rock, and contemporary jazz selections throughout the school year.

Students refine their technique through improvisation, ensemble performance, and stylistic interpretation while performing at school concerts, community events, festivals, and special performances. The Jazz Band fosters confidence, collaboration, and artistic expression, providing an exciting environment where students can grow as musicians and performers.
