MIHS Concert Bands Celebrate Outstanding Success at 2026 District 10 MPA

The Merritt Island High School Band Program had an exceptional showing at the 2026 Florida Bandmasters Association District 10 Music Performance Assessment, earning top honors across all performing ensembles.

The Wind Symphony received Straight Superior ratings from every adjudicator, while the Symphonic Band earned an Overall Superior rating for its outstanding performance. In addition, the program's Student Conductor was awarded Straight Superior ratings, recognizing exceptional leadership and musical excellence on the podium.

Under the direction of Kevin Bennett, these achievements reflect the dedication, hard work, and commitment of our student musicians and continue the proud tradition of excellence within the Merritt Island High School Band Program.
